Login or Register to make a submission.

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • 1. Manuscript

    Please prepare your manuscript in Indonesian or English. Be consistent in spelling and usage throughout the article. Before submitting the manuscript, it is highly recommended to double-check it thoroughly. This will shorten the processing time of your submission. JHESy accepts online article submissions exclusively through the Open Journal Systems (OJS).

  • 2. Manuscript Format

    Authors should submit a carefully polished manuscript. Before submission, please ensure that the text complies with the JHESy Template (Download Template Here). The manuscript file must be in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice, or RTF document format; this will expedite the publication process. Acceptance or rejection notices will be sent to authors after a decision by the editorial board. To facilitate the double-blind peer-review process, authors must ensure their identity is kept confidential according to system guidelines.

  • 3. Article Types

    Two types of articles can be submitted:

    • Original Research Article: A report of empirical, field, or normative research findings that has not been previously published.
    • Conceptual/Theoretical Article: A review of ideas, critical analysis, or theoretical development without primary data collection.

  • 4. Plagiarism Screening Results

    Upload the plagiarism check result for your manuscript. The maximum acceptable similarity index is 25% using Turnitin or other reputable plagiarism detection software.

  • 5. Copyright

    Submission of a manuscript implies: that the work described has not been previously published (except in abstract form or as part of a published lecture, symposium, or thesis), and that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. The author retains the copyright and grants the journal the right of first publication under an open-access license.

  • 6. Review Process

    JHESy implements the following peer-review process policy:

    • Manuscripts submitted by authors will undergo an initial desk review by the editor, primarily checking the manuscript's suitability with the journal's scope and compliance with the manuscript template. During this process, the editor may communicate with the author regarding necessary adjustments before the manuscript is sent to Reviewers or desk-rejected;
    • Manuscripts that pass the initial stage are then assigned to two (2) independent reviewers for content evaluation using the double-blind review method;
    • The review process will evaluate novelty, objectivity, research methodology, scientific impact, validity of conclusions, and references;
    • Reviewers will provide constructive feedback and suggest improvements, along with a recommendation to accept, revise, or reject the article;
    • The editor will make the final decision (accept/revise/reject) based on the reviewers' recommendations;
    • Editorial decisions made by the Editor-in-Chief are binding. However, authors have the right to appeal a rejection decision no later than 30 days after receiving the decision, in accordance with the procedures outlined on the Publication Ethics page. The decision resulting from an appeal review is final and conclusive.

  • 7. Proofs and Reprints

    Electronic proofs will be sent (as email attachments) to the corresponding author as PDF files. Once approved, the proof page goes online as the final version of the article. Except for minor typographical or clerical errors, no substantial changes can be made at the proof stage. Because JHESy publishes articles online via open access to reach a wide audience, authors have immediate and free access to the full text (in PDF and HTML formats) of their published articles. Authors can freely download their PDF files and print unlimited copies of their work.
