Jurnal Hukum Ekonomi Syariah is a national-scale Open Access scientific journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research articles, conceptual papers, and literature reviews in the fields of Islamic Law, Fiqh Muamalah, and Sharia Economics. This journal is managed and published periodically (biannually: June and December) by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) in synergistic collaboration with the Sharia Economic Law (Muamalah) Study Program of STAI Al Musaddadiyah Garut.

To maintain originality and academic integrity, every submitted manuscript undergoes rigorous plagiarism screening and a double-blind peer review process. JHESy is committed to an inclusive global exchange of knowledge by providing immediate open access under a CC BY-ND license, where the author retains the copyright and grants the journal the right of first publication.

Jurnal Hukum Ekonomi Syariah is indexed by SINTA (Science and Technology Index) and listed in S5 level (decree number 10/C/C3/DT.05.00/2025, valid from Volume 1 Number 1 in 2022 to Volume 5 Number 2 in 2026). The journal is accredited by Kemdiktisaintek (Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology). Also, Jurnal Hukum Ekonomi Syariah has been registered/indexed in various indexing tools.

Focus and Scope

Jurnal Hukum Ekonomi Syariah publishes high-quality research articles, conceptual papers, and literature reviews related to Islamic economic law and contemporary issues in Islamic economics. The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to:

• Sharia Economics

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to JHESy undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. The editor makes the final decision regarding the publication of the manuscript based on the reviewers’ recommendations.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles published in this journal are freely accessible online without any subscription barriers.

Plagiarism Screening

All submitted manuscripts are strictly screened for plagiarism using detection software (such as Turnitin or similar tools) before being sent to reviewers to ensure originality and academic integrity.

Archiving & Digital Preservation

JHESy is committed to the long-term preservation of its content through the LOCKSS system, the institutional repository of STAI Al Musaddadiyah Garut, and national/international archiving platforms (Indonesia OneSearch, OCLC WorldCat, and the Internet Archive). Furthermore, the journal strongly encourages authors to self-archive their work (preprint, accepted manuscript, and published version) without any embargo period, in compliance with the CC BY-ND license.

Authors retain the copyright of their articles without restrictions. Articles published in this journal are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-ND).

Article Processing Charges (APC) & Submission Fees

This journal does not charge any manuscript submission fees. However, to support the sustainability of journal management, an Article Processing Charge (APC) or publication fee will be charged to authors only if their manuscript has been accepted and approved for publication.
