Author Distribution Policy

Authors may distribute, archive, or publicly share their work only after the article has been formally published by Jurnal Hukum Ekonomi Syariah. Prior to publication, manuscripts under editorial evaluation, peer review, revision, or production may not be publicly deposited, distributed, or posted in repositories, academic networking sites, personal websites, or other public platforms without prior permission from the Journal obtained through the Contact Page. This policy is intended to preserve the integrity of the double-blind peer review process, prevent version confusion, and ensure the authenticity of the scholarly record. After publication, authors may deposit and distribute the published article in accordance with this Repository Policy, the Copyright Policy, and the Licensing Policy.

Permitted Manuscript Versions

Authors have the right to deposit the following manuscripts immediately without an embargo period after publication:

Recommended Storage Locations

After publication, authors are free to deposit manuscripts on various scientific preservation and dissemination platforms, including:

  • Institutional repositories (e.g., the repository of the university where the author is affiliated).
  • Disciplinary repositories (e.g., OSF Preprints, Zenodo, SSRN).
  • National repositories (e.g., Garuda, Indonesia OneSearch).
  • Academic networks and personal sites (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu, personal websites).

Self-Archiving Terms

While authors retain certain rights to reuse their own work, to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record and ensure consistency with the journal's public licensing, authors must comply with the following deposit provisions:

  1. Include a complete citation to the official article published by JHESy.
  2. Include a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) link that points directly to the article page on the journal's website.
  3. Ensure that the deposited Published Version made available to the public is not altered, modified, or remixed in any form, in accordance with the terms of the CC BY-ND 4.0 License that governs user rights.
  4. Any deposited Accepted Manuscript must clearly state that it is not the Version of Record and must identify the official published article as the authoritative version.
  5. Deposited Accepted Manuscripts must include a complete citation and a DOI link directing readers to the official Version of Record published by JHESy.

The purpose of these requirements is to prevent version confusion and to ensure that readers can easily identify and access the definitive published version maintained by the journal.

Deposited Copies of Retracted Articles

Where an article is retracted, authors and repository managers are encouraged to update deposited copies with:

  • retraction notices;
  • links to official journal notices;
  • corrected versions where applicable.

The integrity of the scholarly record must be preserved.
